What Are We Working On?
Programs and Events
- Finalizing our 2008-09 program schedule!
- Working on an article to be published Skating magazine about training skating instructors
- Coordinating our Ballet for Skaters class with Northfield Dance Academy
- Meeting with the Girl Scouts to plan our 2008 Girl Scout skating event
- Planning new skating programs and special events for the 2008-09 season
Staff
- Hiring new Skating Instructors and Skating Assistants for the 2008-09 season
- Re-designing our staff training program and manual
Community and Collaboration
- Meeting with the Northfield Youth Sports Collaborative
- Planning a new adult fitness program with the Northfield Area YMCA
- Planning our booth for the August 20th Youth Fair
- Meeting with Northfield’s Ice Now organization and collaborators regarding the new arena
- Planning our participation in the 2008 Defeat of Jesse James Days celebration

- Finalizing on our strategic and marketing plans for the 2008-09 season
- Reviewing our website
- Reviewing leadership models and how to come up with creative, fair solutions to challenges that come up when running our program
- Looking into hiring an intern for college credit
